S'mores Crockpot Recipe

With the weather warming up outside it's a great time to bring the sizzle inside! This delicious S'mores dessert is a fun additive to any summer gathering. I love being able to simplify the preparation of a beautiful tablescape by utilizing my slow cooker. Now the recipe I'm sharing has been altered to be gluten free, but you can always make changes to fit your family. Follow the recipe below to top off your next gathering with something sweet!

Yields: 10 servings

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 2 hours & 45 minutes

1 box of gluten free cake mix

1 package of instant chocolate pudding

1 cup of almond milk or milk of your choice

1/4 cup of sour cream

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

2 hershey bars or 2 oz of chocolate chips

4 gluten free graham crackers crushed

3 cups mini marshmallows

1/4 cup melted chocolate for garnish 

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a large bowl, whisk together gluten free cake mix and pudding mix. Add milk, eggs, melted butter, sour cream, vanilla, and salt and mix until smooth. Fold in chocolate and graham crackers.

2. Grease Crock-Pot with cooking spray. Add batter and smooth the top with spatula. Cook on high for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, checking at 2 hours to make sure the edges aren’t burning.

3. Heat broiler on high. Top cake with mini marshmallows and remove pot from slow-cooker base and place in oven. Broil until marshmallows are golden, 1 to 2 minutes. Drizzle with melted chocolate and serve immediately.
